Planting Pool — Current Balance

Current Reward per Approved Planting

Where the pool comes from

Funded by real
economic activity.
Contributions
are welcome.

The Planting Pool accumulates continuously from two sources. No subscriptions, no grants, no promises about future fundraising.

The pool balance is public at all times. Every ring in it came from one of these two sources — and every planting reward paid out is traceable to an approved registration.

1%
Of every payment at partner stores
Automatically allocated at the moment of each transaction. No opt-in required. Every payment made at a partner store contributes to the pool.
+
Direct contributions — from anyone
The pool is open to contributions from companies, partners, institutions, and individuals. If you want your money to go directly to planting real, verified trees — with a public record of where, when, and whether they survived — this is the vehicle.

Every contribution enters the same pool, follows the same rules, and funds the same approved plantings. Nothing is off-ledger.
How the reward is calculated

One rule.
Applied the same
way every time.

The reward per approved planting is always the pool balance divided by 1,000, calculated at the exact moment of approval.

It is not set by a committee. It is not guaranteed in advance. It is a direct function of what the pool holds when the approval happens.

This means all planters are subject to the same rule, and the rule is always visible before submitting.

The reward rises and falls with the pool.
Why the reward changes

The system pays
only what it
can afford.

Because the reward is a direct fraction of the pool, it adjusts automatically to the pace of economic activity in the network. No external financing is required to keep it stable.

This is not a limitation — it is the mechanism that makes the system sustainable. The pool can never be exhausted faster than it is replenished, because planting slows down exactly when it should.

1
Pool balance is low — reward per planting falls below the cost of planting a tree properly.
2
The rational response is to wait. Payments continue. The pool accumulates.
3
The reward rises until planting becomes compensatory again.
4
Planting resumes. No central decision. No subsidy. No external financing required.
Relationship with verification

Two separate
reward systems.

Planting rewards and verification rewards are independent. They are funded differently, triggered by different events, and do not affect each other's calculations.

A tree generates one planting reward at approval — and can generate verification rewards indefinitely, for as long as it remains in the system.

This page — Planting reward
Issued once, at approval
Funded by the Planting Pool. Amount equals pool balance ÷ 1,000 at the moment of approval. Never repeated for the same tree.
Verification rewards
Generated every verification cycle
Issued through Ring mining. Distributed 80% verifier / 15% planter / 5% oracle. Repeats every six months for as long as the tree is verified.
The planting reward does not reduce or delay verification rewards. Both systems run in parallel from the moment of approval.
