How the reward is split

Fixed by protocol.
Distributed automatically.

The split is fixed by protocol and cannot be changed by any participant. No claim required — rewards are distributed to the correct wallets at the moment of approval.

The planter's 15% is permanent. Every future verification of that tree — by anyone — pays 15% to the wallet that registered it. The economic relationship between planter and tree has no scheduled end.

If you planted the tree and verify it yourself, you collect both shares: 80% as verifier + 15% as planter = 95% of the mining reward for that verification.

The 5% that keeps
the system honest.

The oracle is the entity that reviews and approves planting submissions and verifications before any reward is issued. No submission is rewarded without oracle approval.

The 5% oracle share funds the ongoing capacity to do this: the team, the systems, and the fraud detection mechanisms — false images, spoofed locations, outdated photos submitted as current evidence.

Without a functioning oracle, the map reflects what people claim, not what exists. The 5% is the cost of accuracy.

How the reward changes over time

The more living trees,
the scarcer Ring becomes.

Verification rewards follow a halving structure. The base reward reduces by half at defined intervals. The Standing's halvings are not triggered by an arbitrary schedule — they are triggered by verified ecological reality.

Epoch 0 starts at ◉100 per verification. The first halving triggers after 10,000 total valid verifications. From Epoch 1 onward, the trigger is set at 3 × L — where L is the count of living trees actively verified within the past 12 months.

As the network of living trees grows, halvings become harder to trigger. Ring becomes progressively scarcer in direct proportion to how much living forest the system can honestly verify.
