Four things the
system checks.

A submission becomes a valid verification — and mines Rings — only after all four requirements below are confirmed.

Rejections do not generate Rings. Any submission that does not meet these criteria is not approved.

What a valid verification mines

Registered tree
The submission must reference an existing registered tree. Trees pending approval or not yet in the system do not have open verification windows.

Identifiable tree
The tree must be clearly identifiable in the submitted evidence — by its ID tag, registered location, or a distinctive visible feature.

Condition shown
The evidence must clearly show the tree's current condition. Alive and standing, or no longer there — both are valid outcomes.

Location confirmed
Geolocation must match the registered planting coordinates within acceptable tolerance, captured at the moment of submission.
Timing

When can
you verify?

A verification window opens six months after the planting date. It stays open until a valid verification is submitted — then the next window opens six months later.

The window does not expire on its own. If no one verifies, it stays open — and so does the opportunity to mine Rings.

Both outcomes are valid. A tree confirmed as still standing generates Rings. A tree confirmed as no longer standing also generates Rings. The map needs to reflect reality.

Window open
A valid verification can be submitted now. Visit the tree, capture evidence, and submit through the app.
Window closed
A verification was recently completed. The next window opens six months from that date.
Pending approval
A submission is currently under review. Rings are released once the verification is approved.

Property rights and local law

All verification activities must respect local laws and private property rights. No verification may be performed if it requires trespassing, unauthorized access, or violation of private property. The Standing does not authorize and does not encourage any action that infringes property rights or applicable legislation.
