Planting Rules

Precise rules.
No exceptions.

Plantings are only accepted and rewarded when they are properly registered, documented, and approved. This page defines what is required.

After Approval
01
Unique ID assigned
Your tree enters the public Tree Map with its location, species, and planting record — the start of its permanent history.
02
A window opens at 6 months
Anyone can confirm the tree's current condition. Both outcomes — alive or dead — generate Rings.
03
15% of every verification — permanently
Every time your tree is verified, 15% of the mining reward goes to your wallet automatically. If you submit the verification yourself, you collect 95%.
Acceptance Requirements

What qualifies —
and what doesn't.

Only native, large-canopy species are accepted — those that generate measurable long-term ecological impact on soil, water, and local biodiversity. A decorative shrub does not qualify. An ornamental or non-native variety does not qualify.

The criteria below apply at the time of registration. Plantings that do not meet them are not approved.

Tree Catalog — eligible species by region
01
Species
Must be a native, large-canopy species eligible for the planting region. Consult the Tree Catalog before planting.
02
Height
Minimum 2 meters at the time of registration. Trees below this threshold receive Pending status and may resubmit once the requirement is met.
03
Spacing
Minimum clear radius of 8 meters from the trunk to any other tree, permanent structure, or physical barrier.
04
Canopy clearance
Must be planted in an open-sky area with no overhead obstruction that limits canopy development.
01
Location Registration
  • Register the location before planting
  • Capture visual evidence of the area
  • Record GPS coordinates through the app
02
Tree Registration
  • Plant the tree at the registered location
  • Submit visual evidence of the planted tree
  • Confirm planting occurred at the registered coordinates
03
Review
  • Species eligibility is verified
  • Height, spacing, and conditions are checked
  • Outcome: Approved, Pending, or Rejected
Submission Process

Three stages.
All through
the app.

Each stage must be completed in order. The planting is only reviewed after both registration stages are submitted.

All submissions are reviewed before any reward is issued.
No planting generates Ring before it is approved.

Review Outcomes

Three possible
outcomes.

Approved
All requirements met
The tree is registered on the public Tree Map, enters the verification cycle, and becomes eligible for a planting reward. The economic relationship between planter and tree begins at this moment.
Pending
Height requirement not yet met
The tree is registered in the system but has not reached the minimum 2-meter height. No reward is issued. The submission may be updated once the height requirement is met.
Rejected
Requirements not met
The planting does not comply with the acceptance criteria and is not entered into the system. Rejections do not generate Ring. You may resubmit once all conditions are properly met.
